Our story started in 1984 when founder James R. Perry launched the agency out of a USPS van in Toledo, Ohio. Back then it operated under the name Perry Insurance, and James grew it the right way, one client at a time, earning trust through hard work, personal service, and a genuine care for the people he served.
In 2001, the business was incorporated and rebranded as Ace Insurance, a name that reflected a fresh identity and kept the agency top of mind. The growth continued, and in 2015 Ace opened its second location in downtown Sandusky, expanding its reach to the Lake Erie community with the same personalized service clients had always counted on.
In 2019, James Perry passed away after a battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy built on integrity and community. His son William Perry took over as principal agent and has carried that legacy forward with pride. Today, Ace Insurance is still family-owned, still community-driven, and still committed to the same values that James put into it from day one.
